ABOUT TWP

Our mission is to connect, celebrate, educate and foster relationships in the LGBTQIA community while promoting equality, unity, and love in The Woodlands and beyond.

Since its founding in April 2018, The Woodlands Pride (TWP) has grown its ANNUAL PRIDE FESTIVAL into one of Texas’s largest free Pride Festivals. Our 5th Annual Pride Festival in October 2023 welcomed a crowd of over 8500 attendees.

 

Year-round, TWP invests locally and in the LGBTQ+ community statewide. Our past initiatives include helping to launch other suburban and rural Pride Festivals through sponsorships and purchasing inclusive literature for local libraries. We are active members in the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber, Greater Houston LGBT Chamber, and The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce as part of our commitment to build relationships with local leaders and businesses.

 

The Woodlands Pride is also proudly committed to speaking up when needed. TWP became the lead plaintiff in the winning fight against the enactment of
Senate Bill 12 in 2023.
